Fakes & Flakes

With so much happening in the world today, it is hard to tell the genuine from the fake. Whether you are looking for new items to place in your home, a good doctor, counselor or minister, there is always someone who wants to tell you falsehoods and reel you into their web of confusion. These con-merchants are driven by their greed and personal needs, which far outweigh any goodness they may offer you. So, why is it that you get taken in by their scams?

The truth is we all want something, and we all want “it” for nothing or at very little cost to ourselves. The idea of receiving a ‘good bargain’ is appealing. We also often want comfort and mistakenly believe that the ‘fake’ is the real thing. We want to be rescued and saved from our trauma and predicaments and sure enough the con-artist is ready to please your every whim.

Now more than ever, individuals are having their eyes opened wide to scams that involve stealing money, identity, belongings and appearance. But, what about those ‘flakes’ who take your money and promise you “The moon” and give you “A bad deal?” Whatever, their practice, how can you know that the end result of your business with them will work out well? Should you consult a psychic? Perhaps!

But first, here are a few tips? Whoever you intend to approach for help or to do business with should be thoroughly checked out before hand. Call the local “Better Business Bureau” and check out all reports/contacts. Consult the FBI if you think you have reasonable suspicions. If they are known criminals, there will be a record. If nothing is revealed, then ask for prior business associates who can provide good references. Check out their work and make sure you are satisfied before signing on the dotted line. Check your credit often and be sure not to give anyone your personal information, social security or credit card numbers unless you are certain they are genuine. Shred all mail that contains any personal information about your banks, credit cards etc before placing it in the trash. Insure and protect yourself against fraud and Identity Theft by consulting a respected professional.

And if you do consult a psychic counselor, make sure their qualification and reputation is squeaky clean. If they are as good as they say they are, they will offer to help you with a ‘no pay’ guarantee. Over the years I have had the misfortune to comfort clients who have been supposedly “cursed” and paid a fortune to some disreputable psychic or where individuals have been given false information about a loved one who has passed on. Even worse, there have been many individuals who have paid for readings of prophecy where nothing has come true. Don’t fall for those scams! Listen to your friends and their advice first. If you do make an appointment with a psychic, following a recommendation from someone you trust, never part with your money before the session ends. Wait until you are sure you have your monies worth. IF YOU NEED HELP, we will be happy to advise you.
