UNIVERSAL CHRIST CHURCH EDUCATION PROGRAM CURRICULUM

(This is a general guideline for our practitioner and minister training programs.  Some variations may be allowed according to the style and techniques practiced by our teaching ministers.)

PRELIMINARY EVALUATION (Not part of the course).

Students will be required complete and submit a resume giving qualifications and interests

UCC may give credit for prior training.

UCC will evaluate pre-qualifications.

One-year course will provide training and certification as a Practitioner.

Practitioners may heal/counsel and help in spiritual & metaphysical disciplines and practices.

This does not qualify the applicant for ministerial functions.

ONE-YEAR COURSE:

THE FIRST YEAR

REQUIRED INTRODUCTORY TRAINING (over 10 hours by class or correspondence)

Introduction to UCC’s doctrine and practices as a spiritualist church. The tenets & by-laws. This will be followed with introduction to the Aquarian Gospel, Holy Bible and other spiritually oriented books that stimulate the interest and development of becoming a Spiritualist.

As Spiritualists, the students will be introduced to their psychic senses and encouraged to use them and integrate them with modern Metaphysical practices.

1ST QUARTER

HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE

The Birth & Founders of UCC

History & The Growth Of Spiritualism in general

 Spiritualist Pioneer Ministers in the world

Comparative world religions

Christianity & The Aquarian Gospel

The Nature of God

Group discussions

Reference books (Required and Optional):

The Holy Bible, The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, Course of  Miracles, The works of Neale Donald Walsh, the works of Kalil Gibran, other New Age books including books by Margaret Rogers.

Test:               Written open book exam.

Essay:              e.g., “Why I want to become a Practitioner”

2nd QUARTER (Part One)

PSYCHIC DEVELOPMENT

Practical application of the 5 physical senses empowered by the 5 psychic senses

Introduction to Psychic tools & protection from physical, emotional and spiritual harm.  Using meditation to facilitate your experience.  Specific instruction varies somewhat according to the spiritual or philosophical orientation of the instructor.
Psychometry – psychic sense of touch and internal feeling

Understanding and feeling union with God, Spirit Guides, The Earth and Mankind

Unconditional love and how to use it physically to aid others through prayer, contact and counsel

Theory & explorations into applications in practical counseling and healing

Personal history imprinted on a cellular level

Clairvoyance – psychic sense of sight and insight

              Connecting with the images of the Spirit and brain in communication

              Symbolic interpretation

              Visions and telepathic visual communication. Etherialization.

              Rapport v discord – love v hate

              Positive perception

Clairaudience – psychic sense of hearing and communicating

              3 ways of listening: externally, internally and telepathically

              Hearing correctly and interpreting truthfully

2nd QUARTER (Part Two)

METAPHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT (This may run into the first part of the 3rd Quarter)

3rd QUARTER

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

Using the Psychic Senses for Mediumship and Healing

The Trinity

Understanding the dark and light energies and the natural law of balance

Overcoming fear, pain, anger and guilt and connecting to Spirit Guides and God

Meditation as a spiritual tool

Intermediate and Advanced Workshops on developing psychic skills and performance

Introduction to “The Laying of Hands”

The use of prayer and mantras

              Harmony of the Mind, Body and Spirit

              Trust in self and Spirit to lead and perform publicly.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Establishing a business with the right credentials

US law and practices under the by-laws of the church

Final Examination:

Written and/or oral examination on material learned throughout the year.  (Dependent of student’s location)

Certificate for “certified practitioner” will be awarded upon successful completion of this course.


UNIVERSAL CHRIST CHURCH EDUCATION PROGRAM CIRRICULUM (cont.)

2ND YEAR COURSE

This year is contingent on having done the 1st year or having completed the equivalent requirements through some other organization.  If this is the case then credit will be given for that year, but the student must take the final examination of first year to verify their qualifications.

THIS SECOND YEAR COURSE IS FOR PRACTITIONERS WHO WISH TO BECOME ORDAINED MINISTERS AUTHORIZED TO PERFORM CONGREGATIONAL SERVICES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE SACRED RITES OF BAPTISM, CONSECRATION OF THE REMEMBRANCE BREAD AND WINE,  ORDINATION, HEALER DEDICATION, MATRIMONY, AND FUNERAL.

This course will be spread out over 50 weeks.  For 40 weeks, a project will be worked on and submitted to UCC. The remaining 10 weeks will be given over to attending workshops on various metaphysical and spiritual studies.  Practical Exam will be given at the completion of the course in which the student will demonstrate their skills as a Minister.  Ordination dates will be set to follow.

Week 1:               Focus on why you want to be a minister.  Write an essay describing your skills and talents and how you would use them.

Week 2:              Comparative analysis of The Aquarian Gospel and the Holy Bible.  Write your findings

Week 3:              If you had a Church, how would it be:  Study various other religious organizations, including Science of Mind, and compare: write your findings

Week 4:              Read about Siddharta Buddha’s life and understand the middle road.  How could you apply this to your life.  Write your findings.

Week 5:              Read about Mohammed’s life.  Write about your understandings and how these beliefs affect you.

Week 6:              Explore Christian religions and write your findings.  Discuss the pro’s & con’s of your understandings.

Week 7:              Explore Judaism or at least two other Middle Eastern, Asian and other religious disciplines.  Find the common understanding and write your findings.

Week 8:              Write a talk on spiritual beliefs around the world and how they relate to Spiritualism.

Week 9:              Research Spiritual connections in the Bible:  How was Mary’s conversation with Gabriel Spiritually psychic? Write your own findings.

Week 10:              Write a wedding ceremony integrating two different religions, i.e. Catholic and a Jew.

Week 11.              Write a Memorial Service using someone you know as a subject.

Week 12:              Read about exorcism and write your findings applying them to your ministry

Week 13:              Make a written Church announcement for your congregation

Week 14:              Give Psychic messages to at least three of your friends and acquaintances and ask them to give you a written report to send in.

Week 15:              Research the Tenets of the UCC and write how you see yourself working under this banner

Week 16:              Counsel someone in need and write your report.

Week 17:              Write your thoughts on your progress in this course.

Week 18:               Read “Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus.”  Write how this might help you to counsel.

Week 19:              Write a Baptism and Blessing ceremony and submit.

Week 20              Describe the Laying of Hands and the comfort that it gives.

Week 21              Rest and contemplate your journey so far: Write about it in simple form.

Week 22:              Administer help to an individual in need and write a report.

Week 23:              Read a psychology book on self-help and write a report

Week 24:              Create a filing system for keeping records on clients that you minister to.

Week 25:              Attend a workshop such as Good Samaritans and make connections.  Give a written report.

Week 26:              Find someone negative and help them lift their spirits.  Write a written report.

Week 27:              UCC Exam based on your weekly reports and essays.

Week 28:                Record on tape and submit: Read from the Aquarian Bible aloud and give a heartwarming talk. 

Week 29:              Record on tape and submit: Find a group and give a demonstration of spirit messages. 

Week 30:              Attend or listen to a Psychology course or tape.  Give a written report.

Week 31:              Read a book on abusive relationships.  Discuss on tape how you would handle such a case and submit.

Week 32:              Do a good deed.  Write how you feel and send it in.

Week 33:              Imagine you have lost your hearing.  Write about it.

Week:34:              Imagine you have seriously hurt yourself.  Relate to the trauma and apply it to help another. Write about it.

Week 35:              Investigate your local laws and prepare for becoming a legal minister and all that it entails.

Week 36:              It is Easter of Christmas. Give a sermon on tape and submit it. 

Week 37:              Write what “in confidence” means to you as a Minister.

Week 38:              Chose a picture and explain what it means to you on tape and submit with a copy of picture.

Week 39:              Counsel a bereaved client and submit on tape (Can be a drama)

Week 40:              Write an essay on “How I have grown since doing this course.”
